Unemploymentclaims.org is a privately owned website that is not owned or operated by any government agency.
We are an online resource to help answer your questions, check eligibility and assist in applying for Unemployment. You will also be advised if you qualify for additional benefit programs and receive our benefit guide.
Once you are approved for unemployment benefits, you will receive a few things in the mail. The first is a letter certifying your weekly benefit amount, or WBA, and instructions on how to file your first benefit week. You will also receive a debit card that your benefits will be loaded onto every two weeks, if you did not opt to have your benefits directly deposited.
There is one additional step you will need to complete before you can begin filing your weekly claim. You must register for work through the SC Works program. Their website is located here: https://jobs.scworks.org/. On this site, you will need to create an account with a username and password, and also create or upload a resume for employers to see. This must be done within two weeks of applying for benefits. If you do not complete this, then you will not qualify for benefits. In addition, every 90 days you must update your resume on file to continue receiving your benefits.
